It's playoff time, and Lodi had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 61-48 victory over the Merced Bears on Wednesday. Winning may never get old, but the Flames sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Several Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Diego Aguilar, who posted 13 points and seven boards. That's the most rebounds Aguilar has posted since back in December of 2024. Jordan Thomas was another key player, going 6-for-11 en route to 14 points and six boards.
Lodi pushed their record up to 21-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Merced, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 19-10.
Lodi wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-39 loss against Jesuit on the 21st. Merced does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
