After flying high against the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf Fighting Hornet last Friday, the Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs came back down to earth. Mississippi School for the Deaf took a serious blow against Alabama School for the Deaf on Saturday, falling 61-26. Mississippi School for the Deaf has struggled against Alabama School for the Deaf recently, as their contest on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Mississippi School for the Deaf still got an impressive performance from Christian Carrawell, who scored 11 points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Brown, who scored seven points.
Mississippi School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Alabama School for the Deaf, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-16.
Mississippi School for the Deaf and Leake County will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Leake County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Alabama School for the Deaf will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Jacksonville Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th.
