Anna Kreinbrook was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 14 points, nine rebounds, and nine blocks for St. Joseph. The contest was Kreinbrook's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Gia Richter, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Hillel Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Joseph, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-2.
Hillel Academy will head out on the road to face off against Riverview at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Riverview's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while Hillel Academy has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. St. Joseph will take on Jeannette at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jeannette will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 390th, while St. Joseph is ranked 123rd).
