For the first time this season, Mendon Unity will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Seymour Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mendon Unity will be strutting in after a victory while Seymour will be coming in after a defeat.
Mendon Unity had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Monroe City on Monday. The Mustangs put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 13-1 win. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Adler Gray made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March of 2025. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Avery Frese was incredible, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Sawyer Allen was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Seymour fell victim to Liberty and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eagles. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Indians' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Having lost for the first time this season, Seymour fell to 2-1. As for Mendon Unity, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Mendon Unity has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Seymour struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
