The Franklin Yellowjackets will head out on the road to face off against the Franklin Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
The Yellowjackets can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent match on Monday. Everything went their way against the Cougars as the Yellowjackets made off with a 5-1 win. Janelli Villagran was a massive factor in the win, as she booted in three goals all by herself.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats entered their tilt with the Huskies with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. The Wildcats never let the Huskies onto the board and left with a 5-0 victory on Monday. Give the Wildcats' defense some credit: that's the team's fourth straight shutout.
The Yellowjackets pushed their record up to 9-7-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 26 goals over those four games. As for the Wildcats, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2-2 record this season.
