Chamblee hadn't done well against Decatur recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Chamblee sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 15-14 victory over Decatur. With that win, Chamblee brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Brady Solomon was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Leo Waasdorp, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four RBI.

Chamblee was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .395. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .395 or higher in three consecutive matches.

Chamblee has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. Decatur dropped their record down to 5-13 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Chamblee will have a chance to go back-to-back against Decatur: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
