Westmont hasn't had much luck against Leigh recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Warriors will head out on the road to square off against the Longhorns at 4:00 p.m. Leigh took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Westmont, who comes in off a win.
On Thursday, Westmont was able to grind out a solid victory over Piedmont Hills, taking the game 12-9. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Pirates: they've now won four in a row.

Brayden Casillas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Julian Quezada, who went 4-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. James Doherty was another key player, going 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Westmont was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Leigh came up short against Willow Glen on Thursday, falling 9-1.
Leigh saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Low, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.
Leigh's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for Westmont, their record now sits at 6-18.
Westmont suffered a grim 12-0 defeat to Leigh in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
