Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for James Logan, as they earned their first road win of the season. Everything went their way against Deer Valley on Thursday as James Logan made off with a 33-0 victory. With that win, the Colts brought their scoring average up to 9 runs per game.
Ben Towers made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-4.
In other batting news, Nate Lally was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season. DJ Mandigal was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with five RBI, three runs, and one double.
James Logan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .673. The last time their OBP was this high was back in February of 2024.
