Laguna Creek put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Sheldon Huskies. The result was nothing new for the Cardinals, who have now won nine matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Joseph Rumbaoa's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, KJ Winn was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Tyger Peterson was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Laguna Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive contests.

Laguna Creek pushed their record up to 13-10 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Sheldon, they are on a 13-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laguna Creek will face off against Rodriguez at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Cardinals surely won't give up without a fight. As for Sheldon, they will take on Elk Grove at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
