The Kennedy Thunderbirds scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-39 win over Mira Monte. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kennedy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2016.
Kennedy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Imaree Curry, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 assists. Curry set a new season high mark in rebounds with eight. Kayleen Maes was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Kennedy and bumps their season record up to 3-5. As for Mira Monte, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Garces Memorial the next time they take the court. Mira Monte will head out to face Garces Memorial at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, while Kennedy will head out to face them at 5:15 p.m. on December 20th.
