Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Collins Hill). Everything went their way against the Peachtree Ridge Lions on Wednesday as they made off with a 19-2 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Eagles with their most commanding win of the season.
Molly Arrocena spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on one hit and racked up 11 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Collins Hill got a massive performance out of Trinity Holt, who went 3-for-4 with seven RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those seven RBI gave Holt a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Ketring, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.
Collins Hill moved to 12-16 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Peachtree Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season.
Collins Hill wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-3 loss against Archer on the 9th. Peachtree Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
