Animo Leadership dropped their record down to 12-12 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 5-1 to the Environmental Charter White Tigers. Axel Serrano was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He struck out ten batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.
As for Environmental Charter, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.2 runs over those games.
