Bishop Union has gone 9-1 against Kern Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Broncos will host the Broncs at 3:15 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Bishop Union sitting on six straight victories and Kern Valley on five.
Bishop Union had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Boron on Friday. The Broncos were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over the Bobcats. Considering the Broncos have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Will Kemp made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Richie Talavera was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2025. Elliott Douda was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Meanwhile, Kern Valley earned a 10-7 win over California City on Friday.
Like Bishop Union, Kern Valley also got a great game from a two-way player: Aiden Madden. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up five earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Madden was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 12 times he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Price, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Blake Baughman, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Kern Valley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Bishop Union's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Kern Valley, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Bishop Union hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .349. However, it's not like Kern Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .319. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
