Coleville has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. The Coleville Wolves and the Smith Valley Bulldogs will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
Last Saturday, Coleville lost to Pyramid Lake on the road by a decisive 51-34 margin.
Meanwhile, Smith Valley put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They really took it to Excel Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 64-27 victory at home. Winning may never get old, but Smith Valley sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Coleville's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-10. As for Smith Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Coleville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Smith Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 44-40 win. Does Coleville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Smith Valley turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
