The Tiverton Tigers will head out on the road to  challenge  the Prout Crusaders at 3:00  p.m.  on Sunday. Prout took a loss in their last  game and will be looking to turn the tables on Tiverton, who comes in off a win.
 Last Friday, Tiverton earned  a  5-1 victory over Woonsocket.
  Alexander Monkevicz tossed a big game,   pitching 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Kamdyn Rego, who  scored two  runs and  stole three bases while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  Payton Travis, who  scored a  run while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Prout fought the good fight in their extra-innings  contest against North Providence  on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of  6-4. Prout has struggled against North Providence recently, as their  match on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
  Derek Gesmondi made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 1-for-5 with a  home run.  Nolan Rodman was another key contributor,  going 3-for-4 with  an  RBI.
 Even though they lost, Prout  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Providence struck out nine times.
 Tiverton has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season. As for Prout, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Sunday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Tiverton has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.8  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Prout struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7.6. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
