Minarets is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Roosevelt is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Mustangs will host the Rough Riders at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Minarets knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Roosevelt likes a good challenge.
Minarets is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 13-9 win over Maxwell.

Carson Gibson looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Killian Paschall, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Torin Wolf, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
Minarets kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in nine consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Roosevelt never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over Turlock Christian. That's two games straight that the Rough Riders have won by just one run.
Not much got past Cerrato Xamuel, who gave up just four hits and racked up six Ks to keep Turlock Christian off the board. Xamuel has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Roosevelt saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cruz Diego, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
Minarets' win bumped their record up to 25-8-1. As for Roosevelt, their victory bumped their record up to 23-7-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Minarets has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Roosevelt struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Minarets got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2018 against Roosevelt by a conclusive 15-7 score. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Rough Riders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
