Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lompoc). Everything went their way against the Nipomo Titans on Monday as they made off with a 16-6 win. The Braves haven't had any issues with the Titans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Kasch Kubasiewicz and Blake Bailey did most of the damage at the plate: Kubasiewicz got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Bailey got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave Bailey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aidan Vallarta, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Lompoc always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .609. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Lompoc's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Nipomo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Lompoc will have a chance to go back-to-back against Nipomo: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
