The Aquinas Academy Crusaders put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 54-45 win over Rochester. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Aquinas Academy has scored all season.
It was another big night for Violet Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emily Fisher, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
Aquinas Academy pushed their record up to 6-0 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.7 points per game. As for Rochester, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Aquinas Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Montour at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Rochester, they will head out on the road to face off against McGuffey on December 20th.
