Waynesburg Central has been on the road for two straight, but on Monday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Brownsville Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Waynesburg Central has not done well against South Park recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Waynesburg Central came out on top against South Park by a score of 48-36.
Addison Blair was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 13 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Josie Horne was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Brownsville's four-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They took down Charleroi 62-47.
Waynesburg Central's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Brownsville, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Waynesburg Central didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Brownsville in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 46-40 win. Will Waynesburg Central repeat their success, or does Brownsville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
