The Pittsburg Pirates suffered their biggest loss since November 18, 2023 on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 61-26 loss at the hands of Heritage. Pittsburg was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-16.
Despite the loss, Pittsburg still got an impressive performance from Malia Fonologoua, who scored five points along with three blocks and two steals.
Pittsburg's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-11. As for Heritage, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
Pittsburg will be playing at home against Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Liberty presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Pittsburg in California (Liberty is ranked 243rd, while Pittsburg is ranked 672nd). As for Heritage, Heritage and Freedom will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
