After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hamilton, the Los Molinos Bulldogs were happy to have found some success on Friday. They secured a 36-32 W over Maxwell. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 16 to 2 on the offensive boards, as Los Molinos did.
Leading Los Molinos to victory were Mckenna Michelle and Natalie Martinez. Michelle dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, while Martinez scored 15 points along with six rebounds and four steals. It was the first time this season that Martinez grabbed two or more steals.
Defeat or not, Maxwell got some senior leadership from Teresita Salazar and Emma Hendrix. Salazar scored 14 points along with six rebounds and three steals, while Hendrix. almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 37.5% of Maxwell's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Los Molinos' victory bumped their record up to 7-18. As for Maxwell, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.
