Softball Recap: Lakeside Has No Trouble Against Heritage

The Lakeside Vikings made easy work of the Heritage Patriots on Saturday and carried off a 16-4 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Lakeside let Willow Wilson and Tammyn Martin run wild. Wilson got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one double, while Martin got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs. Those three runs gave Wilson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Macie Williamson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Lakeside's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Lakeside will take on Midtown at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Heritage, they will be playing at home against Archer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Patriots' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
