It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Orange Cove can now relate to. They fell just short of the Shafter Generals by a score of 7-5 on Friday. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Orange Cove saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Gonzalez, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Roman Ocejo was another, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Orange Cove's defeat dropped their record down to 17-10. As for Shafter, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 17-4.

Orange Cove does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shafter, they will square off against Sunnyside at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
