The Munster Mustangs will face off against the Lake Central Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Munster sitting on six straight victories and Lake Central on seven.
Munster came out on top against Bremen on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Mustangs never let the Braves get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. Considering the Mustangs have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Nate Southwell made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Southwell was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April.

In other pitching news, Jack Kunas looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Manny Guaramato, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Donovan Craig, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Munster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bremen only posted an OBP of .000.
Meanwhile, Lake Central faced Hanover Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats, sneaking past 6-5.
Munster's record now sits at 23-6. As for Lake Central, their record is now 21-8.
