Even though the Douglas Tigers scored an imposing 72 points on Wednesday, the Westborough Rangers still came out on top. Westborough sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 75-72 victory over Douglas. The win made it back-to-back wins for Westborough.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adam Dunphy, who scored 21 points. Isaac Gosselin was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Westborough's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Douglas, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Westborough will be home for the holidays to greet North Middlesex Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Douglas will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Oxford at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th.
