Stone Ridge Christian kicked off their season on the road  on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against  the Orestimba Warriors, falling  12-6. Sadly, the  defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.
  Gavin Young was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Markus Strickland, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
The  victory made it two in a row for Orestimba and  bumps their season record up to 2-4.
 Coincidentally, Stone Ridge Christian and Orestimba will both be playing Gustine the next time they take the field. Orestimba will  host Gustine at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday, while Stone Ridge Christian will  host them  at 3:30  p.m.  on March 4th.
