It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Rock Creek Academy Lions can now relate to. They fell 59-47 to the Eagles on Friday. Rock Creek Academy has not had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Lanesville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hadley Crosier led the charge by scoring 19 points along with eight assists and eight steals. Crosier is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shelby Allen, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds.
Rock Creek Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season. As for Lanesville, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-1.
Rock Creek Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lanesville won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Braves at 7:00 p.m. on February 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Indiana (Borden is ranked 35th, while the Eagles are ranked 26th).
