Softball Recap: Pike County Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Pike County had won five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they bumped up to 3-1 to make it six. Everything went their way against the Trinity Christian Lions as they made off with a 9-1 win. Considering the Pirates have won three contests by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Trinity Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly eight runs.

For Trinity Christian's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenzie Knowles, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Coming up, Pike County will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Newnan at 6:00 p.m. As for Trinity Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Upson-Lee at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
