Even though the Montpelier Solons scored an imposing 75 points on Friday, the Burlington Seahorses still came out on top. Burlington walked away with an 83-75 victory over Montpelier. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Burlington.
Montpelier's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Clayton Foster, who went 6 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 5 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Foster has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Lilly, who scored 19 points along with nine rebounds.
Burlington's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Montpelier, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Burlington will be home for the holidays to greet South Burlington at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montpelier, they will head out on the road to face off against Lamoille at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
