Grapevine is 0-3 against Lake Ridge since December of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Grapevine Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Lake Ridge Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Grapevine is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Last Tuesday, Grapevine was the victim of a tough 62-42 loss at the hands of Pinkston.
The losing side was boosted by Aaron Sowell, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dillon Lowack, who scored 4 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Lake Ridge strolled past Ryan with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 62-46. Given Lake Ridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while Ryan is ranked 136th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The losses dropped Grapevine to 5-9 and Pinkston to 4-7.
Grapevine couldn't quite finish off Lake Ridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 and fell 69-66. Can Grapevine avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
