There's no place like home for the Pennridge Rams, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Boyertown with a sharp 47-23 victory on Saturday. Given Pennridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Boyertown is ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Boyertown had strong showings from Madelyn Weaver, who scored 11 points, and Isla Greaves, who scored seven points along with five rebounds. Weaver scored a full 47.8% of Boyertown's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Pennridge's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Boyertown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Pennridge will head out on the road to face off against Upper Perkiomen at 6:00 p.m. on December 18th. As for Boyertown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wyomissing at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
