1. Lake Stevens
2016 record: 11-1
Head coach: Tom Tri

The Vikings look to plunder in 2017 with returning quarterback Conor Bardue back after throwing for over 3,000 yards and 41 touchdowns as a junior.

He'll have rising senior Anthony Hutchinson to throw to after he caught 46 passes for a team-high 849 yards and nine scores. Lake Stevens must replace Blake May who ran for 1,580 yards and 20 TDs. That task may fall to rising junior Jackson Grafe or Austin Calvin, who had 103 tackles at linebacker last season.

Mathew Sevao returns for his senior year at defensive end and tackle. He had 98 tackles last season.

2. Eastside Catholic (Sammamish)
2016 record: 11-2
Head coach: Jeremy Thielbahr

Ze'Shaun Lewis is back at quarterback for the Crusaders after throwing for 3,182 yards and 31 touchdowns in 2016. Rising senior Marcus Stoebner is also back after 46 catches for 779 yards and six scores last season.

Eastside Catholic needs to replace running back Tyler Folkes, who rushed for nearly 1,000 yards and 19 TDs. That task might fall to rising junior Derek Ray, who ran for 307 yards and four scores last season.

Jackson Reed leads the line at center, while Ryan Taylor and Malik Putney are the top returning tacklers with 58 and 53, respectively.

3. Sumner
2016 record: 12-1
Head coach: Keith Ross

Tre Weed steps into the starting running back role after rushing for 951 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior behind graduated senior Connor Wedington.

Rising senior Luke Ross pilots the offense at quarterback after throwing for more than 1,700 yards and 26 scores. Ross is 22-2 as a started.

The Spartans must replace three graduated offensive line, including Seth Carnahan, but Ben Wilson returns at linebacker after a 201-tackle campaign in 2016.

4. Camas
2016 record: 14-0
Head coach: Jon Eagle

Jack Colletto is gone at quarterback and rising senior Kyle Allen looks to replace the 6-3, 220 pound quarterback who threw for 2,662 yards, rushed for 1,165 more and accounted for a combined 46 touchdowns.

Rising senior running backs Gavin Holley and Semisi Schultz should take some of the burden off Allen.

Grant Jones should be a beast at guard and nose guard.

5. O'Dea (Seattle)
2016 record: 13-1
Head coach: Monte Kohler

The 2016 3A runner up looks to replace quarterback Warren King and his 627 yards passing and seven touchdowns.

Jamyn Patu returns at running back for the Fighting Irish after running for 1,596 yards and 14 TDs as a junior.
Safety Parker D'Anna is the top returning tackler with 67 last season.
