While Fletcher's win against First Coast wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Senators skirted past the Buccaneers 24-21. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since October 22, 2021, but that streak is no more.

Fletcher had a senior duo take command as Diondre Smith picked up 117 receiving yards and two TDs and Joshua Jones picked up 109 receiving yards and one score. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 74 yards.

Fletcher's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-3. As for First Coast, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Fletcher will welcome Trinity Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Senators will need to watch out since the Conquerors have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for First Coast, they will head out to take on Andrew Jackson at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Buccaneers will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.11 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
