Maywood CES came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Maywood Academy Eagles get on the board and left with a 28-0 victory. Considering the Wolfpack have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Brian Aguirre got the start for Maywood CES and what a start it was: he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts Aguirre has posted since back in March.

Maywood CES' win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Maywood Academy, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Maywood CES wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 7-1 victory against Marquez on the 27th. As for Maywood Academy, they have also already played their next game, an 18-1 win against Elizabeth on the 27th.
