It was a good run, but the Fresno Christian Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 58-37 walloping at the hands of Fowler. Fresno Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Fowler apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Fresno Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sarah Guglielmana. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 rebounds. Guglielmana hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for six straight games. Anna Pascual was another key contributor, scoring three points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Fresno Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Fowler, their victory bumped their record up to 15-11.
Fresno Christian will be playing at home against Sierra at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sierra presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fresno Christian in California (Sierra is ranked 342nd, while Fresno Christian is ranked 1040th). As for Fowler, they will head out on the road to face off against Chowchilla at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Fowler has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
