12 must be Jefferson's lucky number: they beat West Adams with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Democrats put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 12-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Democrats, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Jefferson pushed their record up to 7-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for West Adams, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Jefferson is taking a road trip to challenge Fairfax at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Adams, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on King/Drew at 10:00 a.m. on the 16th.
