Yuba City and River Valley are an even 5-5 against one another  since January of 2020, but  not for long. Meanwhile, River Valley fought the good fight in their overtime  contest against Roseville  on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took  a  38-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Falcons' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
 Yuba City will need focus on slowing down  Sukhman Kandola, one of several River Valley players who made an impact when they last played. She  had 11 points and six  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Gurleen Nijjar, who  put up five  points.
 River Valley's  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-11. As for Yuba City, their record now sits at 4-10.
