Bret Harte extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping them up to 12-3. They ended the year with a bang, routing the El Dorado Cougars 63-41. The Bullfrogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 22 points or more this season.

As for El Dorado, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 513th, while Bret Harte is ranked 105th).

Despite the defeat, El Dorado had strong showings from Emma Fulton, who posted 12 points in addition to seven steals and five assists, and Jennifer Hutchinson-Whitecotton, who scored eight points. Fulton is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Looking ahead, Bret Harte will venture away from home to take on Sierra at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026. The Bullfrogs' defense better be ready for this one: the Timberwolves have averaged an impressive 50.5 points per game this season. As for El Dorado, they will square off against Sonora at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
