Ansel Hermanos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Hermanos was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Ari Samson was excellent, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Alec Rabb was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
