The Don Lugo Conquistadores's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They lost to Rancho Verde at home by a decisive 54-35 margin. Don Lugo has not had much luck with Rancho Verde recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Don Lugo saw an underclassman step up: Sienna Robles scored eight points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Robles has scored all season.
Don Lugo's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Rancho Verde, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
Don Lugo and Oak Hills will face off at 11:30 a.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Rancho Verde won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Paul at 10:00 a.m. on December 28th.
