It was the first time this season that Clemens pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Powell, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Butte Valley had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. Dunsmuir was taken down by the Bulldogs 53-23 when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Butte Valley's Emely Ceniceros, who almost dropped a triple-double on 11 points, nine assists, and 13 steals. Now that Dunsmuir knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
