The Canyon Springs Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Edgewood 62-8 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Canyon Springs has managed all season.
It was another big night for Izabella Tejada, who scored 16 points along with five steals. That makes it ten consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Canyon Springs' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Breana Nicholson, who scored 11 points.
Canyon Springs is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. As for Edgewood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.
Canyon Springs is on the road again on Thursday and play against St. Lucy's at 5:00 p.m. on December 21st. Edgewood and San Gorgonio will face off at 11:00 a.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. San Gorgonio is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
