Baseball Game Preview: Drew Dragons vs. The Bay School Breakers

Drew is 0-10 against The Bay School since May of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Dragons will head out to face off against the Breakers at 3:30 p.m. Drew will be strutting in after a win while The Bay School will be coming in after a loss.

Drew took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against International, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Dragons narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Jaguars 9-7. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The team relied heavily on Kyle Ebrado, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Drew: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Magellan David also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for The Bay School's offense. They lost 15-0 to Berean Christian on Saturday. The Breakers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

The Bay School's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Drew, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-3.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Drew has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like The Bay School struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Drew suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to The Bay School in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
