Baseball Recap: Lawrence Academy Takes a Loss

If Lawrence Academy was riding high fresh off their 19-1 takedown of Northeast Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lawrence Academy fell just short of the Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots by a score of 8-6 on Friday. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Winston Warren was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nike Wiggins, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Lawrence Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Lawrence Academy has already played their next match, a 14-0 victory against Albemarle School on the 31st. As for Arendell Parrott Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-1 defeat against Greenfield on the 31st.
