Swallows Charter Academy has struggled against Las Animas recently, as their match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Swallows Charter Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charles Perry, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Perry has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Breedlove, who scored 16 points along with five assists and two steals.
Swallows Charter Academy's loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Las Animas, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-7.
