The Northeastern Bobcats put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 51-27 margin over Conestoga Valley. The result was nothing new for Northeastern, who have now won seven matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northeastern to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colleen Finnegan, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. The match was Finnegan's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Emma Bush, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and four blocks.
Northeastern's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 24 points. As for Conestoga Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeastern won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mechanicsburg at 7:30 p.m. on December 28th. Mechanicsburg will be coming into the contest with an undefeated record on the line. As for Conestoga Valley, they will be playing at home against Penn Manor at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
