Basketball Recap: Diamond Bar Extends Winning Streak to Three

Diamond Bar had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 53-29 margin over the Walnut Mustangs. The Brahmas have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the defeat, Walnut had strong showings from Claire Olia, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds, and Andrina Bramucci, who posted five points in addition to 12 boards and four blocks. Bramucci is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now posted two or more in the last five games she's played.

Diamond Bar has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. As for Walnut, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-15.

Diamond Bar has already played their next contest, a 42-38 loss against Claremont on the 4th. As for Walnut, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-48 defeat against Glendora on the 4th.
