Everything went their way against the Polk County Slammers as they made off with a 14-5 win. Gering got a massive performance out of Avah Hessler, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those four RBI gave Hessler a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jaleigh Bohac, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Gering kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
