It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Prospect Panthers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They managed a 46-41 victory over Willow Glen. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Prospect.
Sadie Slaughter continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Kumagai, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Prospect's victory was their tenth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3. As for Willow Glen, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.
Prospect will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oak Grove will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 516th, while the Panthers are ranked 225th). As for Willow Glen, they will head out on the road to challenge the Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Teresa will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
