Costa Mesa got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emi Kamikihara out in front who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Leilani Quero, who scored 11 points.
Saddleback's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-14. As for Costa Mesa, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.
Saddleback will take on Santa Ana at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Santa Ana has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Costa Mesa, they will head out on the road to face off against Calvary Chapel at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Calvary Chapel presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Costa Mesa in California (Calvary Chapel is ranked 190th, while Costa Mesa is ranked 977th).
